Junior GIS and Spatial Analysis Specialist

Company: EKO-STUDIO We are looking for a person who feels comfortable working with spatial data and wishes to develop their GIS skills on real-world environmental and infrastructure projects. This position is primarily aimed at students enrolled in programs related to GIS, geography, geodesy, spatial management, environmental protection, or related fields. Professional experience is not required—what matters most to us is strong familiarity with QGIS, accuracy, and a willingness to further develop your skills. The successful candidate will support specialists in preparing environmental documentation for road, rail, and other infrastructure projects. Responsibilities: Preparing maps and graphical attachments for environmental documentation Editing and processing spatial data in QGIS Conducting spatial analyses, including collision assessments between projects and environmental elements Creating and organizing vector layers and working with raster data Acquiring and utilizing data from open databases and geoportals Collaborating with environmental and nature protection specialists Required Skills and Experience: Current student status Strong proficiency in QGIS Ability to work with both vector and raster data Basic knowledge of coordinate systems and map preparation principles Accuracy and strong organizational skills Independence in solving basic GIS-related tasks Enthusiasm for learning about environmental protection and the investment process Preferred Qualifications: Prior internships, practical experience, or student projects related to GIS, spatial planning, geodesy, or environmental protection We Offer: Flexible working hours compatible with studies Partial remote work options Onboarding into GIS use for environmental documentation Opportunity to work on real infrastructure projects Potential for further development in spatial analysis and environmental protection
