Lead GIS Cloud Architect – Enterprise Cloud Solutions

Company: Udc Title: Lead GIS Cloud Architect for Enterprise Cloud Solutions - Udc UDC is seeking a specialized GIS Cloud Architect to lead the design, implementation, and management of enterprise-grade cloud solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for architecting and deploying scalable GIS platforms in cloud environments (AWS/Azure) and hybrid infrastructures. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement robust cloud architectures for GIS applications and services Lead technical strategy and execution for enterprise GIS cloud initiatives Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate geospatial capabilities into broader IT ecosystems Ensure security, compliance, and performance standards across cloud deployments Mentor technical teams and contribute to best practices in GIS cloud engineering Required Qualifications: Proven experience with ArcGIS platform (including ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online) Strong expertise in cloud platforms: AWS and/or Microsoft Azure Hands-on experience with containerization: Docker and Kubernetes Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools: Terraform, AWS CloudFormation Solid understanding of geospatial data formats, standards (e.g., OGC), and processing workflows Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for GIS applications Additional Information: Full-time position based in Italy Reports to the Director of Enterprise Architecture
