Lightweight Map Algorithm Engineer

Job Title: Lightweight Map Algorithm Engineer Job Description: Develop and deploy end-to-end AI-based algorithms for automated generation of lightweight and high-precision cloud maps. Leverage core technologies such as Transformer and Bird’s-Eye-View (BEV) to automate the generation and closed-loop evaluation of topological vector maps. Establish and optimize scalable map production workflows (training, evaluation, deployment), improving automation and operational efficiency on the production line. Qualifications: Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Image Processing, Pattern Recognition, Machine Learning, Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field. Prior experience developing Transformer- or end-to-end-based models (e.g., VMA, MapTr, Bevformer, BevFusion, DETR) is preferred. Familiarity with common map formats such as Lanelet2, OpenDRIVE, Apollo, and Autoware, along with experience in map production at scale, is highly desirable. Strong communication skills and a collaborative team spirit.
