Offshore Surveyor (GIS)

CONTRACT DURATION : 3 YEARS LOCATION : KUALA LUMPUR CITY CENTRE (KLCC) ROLE : The GIS Surveyor (Offshore) will support the quality assurance, validation, and management of E&P spatial and survey data within the Company's geospatial environment. The role involves ensuring that offshore and hydrographic survey data meets the required standards of accuracy, integrity, consistency, and completeness before and after integration into the Master Geodatabase. Responsible for performing Quality Check and Quality Assurance of E&P spatial data prior to and after loading into the Master Geodatabase. Applies industry best practices to ensure all GIS, geo-information, and related survey data are of high quality, integrity, and accuracy. Maintains geospatial data integrity in accordance with industry standards, with specific experience and exposure in offshore and hydrographic survey operations. REQUIREMENTS : Bachelor's degree in any discipline. Minimum three (3) years' cumulative experience in offshore GIS surveying, offshore geospatial activities, or a closely related field. Minimum two (2) years' hands-on experience performing Quality Check and Quality Assurance of spatial or survey data using ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap, or equivalent GIS software. Minimum one (1) year's hands-on experience working with spatial databases, including SDE / Geodatabase, MSSQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL. Practical experience in validating, managing, or maintaining offshore, hydrographic, marine, or survey-related spatial data. Hands-on experience working with offshore or hydrographic survey data and applying relevant data quality standards and validation procedures. Experience preparing, reviewing, or validating spatial and survey data for integration into a Master Geodatabase or enterprise GIS environment will be an added advantage. Participation in a minimum of one (1) offshore or hydrographic survey campaign, stating the campaign name, client, location, and project period. Minimum two (2) years' cumulative experience working on Oil & Gas industry projects or with Oil & Gas clients.
