We are looking for a motivated
Researcher
to join the
GeoTech – Applied Geotechnologies Research Group at the University of Vigo
and contribute to an exciting research project focused on the development of next-generation tools for infrastructure monitoring and safety.
Research activities
The successful candidate will work on:

Design and implementation of Augmented Reality (AR) graphical interfaces
for the visualization and management of geospatial data.
Integration of geospatial data and interactive visualization technologies.
Testing and validation of the developed applications.
Position details

Contract duration:
Initial 6-month contract, extendable up to
3 years
(with the possibility for a predoctoral contract).
Contract type:
Full-time.
Salary:
€1,810 gross/month
.

Candidate profile
We are looking for a higher technician, engineer, or equivalent, with the following qualifications:
· Academic background related to
Informatics, Computer Science, or a closely related field
. Candidates currently pursuing a Master's degree are also welcome to apply.
Programming skills
, particularly in languages such as
Python and/or C#
.
Experience working with
GIS and/or Unity
.
