Senior Frontend Developer (Nuxt.js / GIS) – Full-time Freelance, Fully Remote (Europe)
Dirichlet AB is a Sweden-based company looking for a Senior Frontend Developer to join a technically challenging web application with a strong focus on interactive maps, geospatial data, data-heavy interfaces, and document generation.
Due to confidentiality, detailed information about the product will be shared with shortlisted candidates after signing an NDA.
KEY DETAILS
Full-time freelance/contract engagement (approx. 40 hours per week), initially for a few months with the possibility of extension
Fully remote – candidates must be based in Europe (including the UK)
Working hours overlapping with CET
English required (Swedish not required)
Start date: as soon as possible, ideally with an overlap period with our current developer for a smooth handover

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON
Building and maintaining complex features using Nuxt.js and TypeScript
Developing interactive, map-based user experiences with Google Maps
Visualizing and managing geospatial data and multiple map layers
Implementing map interactions such as drawing, editing, selecting, moving, and drag-and-drop
Working with markers, polygons, polylines, overlays, coordinates, and custom map elements
Building data-heavy dashboards and interactive interfaces
Designing reusable components and managing complex frontend state
Integrating frontend features with backend APIs
Improving performance, particularly in map- and data-intensive parts of the application
Generating professional, high-quality PDF documents containing maps, sketches, drawings, symbols, and other graphical elements, using vector-based output where applicable
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Strong professional experience with Vue.js and Nuxt.js
Strong knowledge of TypeScript and modern JavaScript
Experience with Tailwind CSS
Hands-on GIS experience: geospatial data, GeoJSON, coordinate systems and projections, and map-based applications
Solid experience with Google Maps API or similar mapping libraries (Leaflet, OpenLayers, Mapbox)
Strong understanding of component architecture, state management, and API integration
Experience building complex and highly interactive user interfaces
Good understanding of frontend performance and optimization
Ability to work independently: analyzing requirements, making technical decisions, and delivering complex features end to end
Fluent English
NICE TO HAVE
Experience with PDF and document generation
Experience with vector graphics and graphical exports
Background in planning, transportation, engineering, or other map-intensive domains
Experience with advanced dashboards or data visualization
