Senior GIS Analyst

The Senior GIS Analyst sits within the IT department and works with multiple business departments to meet the organization’s spatial data requirements. Responsibilities include: - Designing and processing queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data. - Creating thematic maps and supporting data conversion and quality-control projects. - Designing automated ETL workflows using FME, Python with ArcPy, SQL, and Snowflake. - Integrating geospatial and operational data across multiple business areas. - Managing content stored in ArcSDE geodatabases and SQL Server. - Developing web applications within ArcGIS Enterprise, including dashboards and Experience Builder applications. - Integrating GIS data with systems such as FME, ArcGIS Online, and Experience Builder. - Training junior GIS staff and end users on GIS tools and best practices. Required qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in GIS or a related field, at least seven years of FME experience in the oil and gas industry, at least seven years of GIS experience using ArcGIS and ArcGIS Pro, and at least six years of oil and gas industry experience. Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree in GIS or a related field, knowledge of surface infrastructure data, familiarity with ArcGIS Enterprise and Esri mobile applications, programming and scripting skills, advanced FME workflow knowledge, strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and experience implementing process improvements.
