Your impact
At Jacobs, we're expanding our Geospatial Services capability to meet growing client demand and accelerate the delivery of innovative, data-driven solutions across Australia and the region. We're working across a diverse portfolio of projects spanning transport, resources, water and environmental sectors, partnering with clients to solve complex challenges through geospatial and digital innovation.
Based in Perth, this Senior GIS Consultant role offers the opportunity to work on a major WA digital twin initiative and with clients across Western Australia and beyond, leading the delivery of geospatial solutions across a range of projects. Combining technical expertise, project delivery and client engagement, this position is ideal for someone who enjoys developing client relationships, leading projects and delivering innovative spatial solutions that create real value for clients.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate the planning, management and delivery of geospatial projects to meet client requirements
Develop and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities to provide additional value and support future work
Contribute to business development activities, helping build and maintain a strong project pipeline
Provide technical leadership across GIS, spatial data management and geospatial solution delivery
Apply and support the use of ESRI technologies and geospatial platforms across project delivery
Collaborate with clients, partners and multidisciplinary teams to achieve successful project outcomes
Support the development and continuous improvement of GIS products, services and delivery approaches
Contribute to project commercial performance, ensuring projects are delivered effectively and efficiently
Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment

Here's what you'll need
Degree qualification in Geospatial Science, GIS, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline
Experience delivering GIS, geospatial or data-driven solutions within a consulting, technical or client-focused environment
Strong knowledge of the ESRI suite, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online (AGOL), ArcGIS Enterprise/Portal, web mapping and geoprocessing services
Working knowledge of Python or other development languages and their application within geospatial workflows
Considerable understanding of spatial data structures, databases and data management principles
Familiarity with FME and its use in data transformation, automation and integration
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
