Senior GIS Solution Architect

Lead GIS solution architecture across complex Ontario government projects, using enterprise infrastructure expertise and GO-ITS architecture standards. Hybrid and remote arrangements are supported. This Senior Solution Architect supports Enterprise Architecture artifact creation for Geospatial Ontario IT Program projects. The work spans GIS applications, infrastructure, data modelling, and platform modernization. You will assess business requirements, current environments, technology choices, and solution viability. You will also guide architecture through Ontario Enterprise Architecture governance points. Key Responsibilities: Lead complex application and enterprise infrastructure architecture reviews Develop GIS infrastructure and application architecture artifacts Assess solution alternatives against business and technical requirements Prepare cost-benefit analyses, feasibility studies, and recommendations Facilitate architecture reviews, decisions, and problem-solving meetings Requirements: At least 10 years of total IT experience At least five years leading solution architecture on complex projects Knowledge or experience with Government of Ontario GO-ITS standards Deep knowledge of GIS application and infrastructure design Strong communication with diverse technical and business stakeholders Apply GIS architecture, enterprise governance, GO-ITS standards, and analytical leadership across Geospatial Ontario projects.
