Software Engineer

On behalf of an international technology company, we’re looking for a Software Engineer to help build a cloud platform that turns raw spatial data into products used around the world. This is a backend-focused role with a geospatial twist. You’d build the services and processing pipelines that take large volumes of imagery, 3D and map data and turn them into something useful. It’s a hands-on job with plenty of ownership, and a real say in how things are designed. Responsibilities Build cloud-native backend services and APIs Develop and optimise large-scale data processing pipelines Design distributed systems running on Kubernetes and AWS Keep things reliable, observable and cost-efficient Share ideas on architecture and work closely with product, QA and domain experts Your Profile Strong Java and Spring Boot experience, with solid object-oriented fundamentals Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes and AWS A good grasp of geospatial basics, such as coordinate systems, spatial data formats and GIS concepts Fluent English and a collaborative, curious mindset A degree in computer science or informatics, or equivalent experience Big plus: experience with geospatial toolkits or standards, or with 3D and point cloud data.
