Soil & Water Specialist – Advisory & GIS

Job Description The Canton of Lucerne is seeking a Soil and Water Specialist (m/f/x) with a focus on soil fertility, soil protection, and water strategies. You will provide expert advice to farmers, develop innovative concepts and strategies, and implement projects in close cooperation with cantonal departments and stakeholders. Requirements Completed university degree in agronomy, geography, environmental sciences, or a related field Several years of professional experience in soil science, hydrology, and GIS (Geographic Information Systems) Strong practical knowledge of soil fertility management, soil conservation, and water resource planning Willingness to travel and hold a valid Class B driver’s license Excellent communication and advisory skills, as well as the ability to work both independently and in teams
