About the Role

AI Engineers, Inc. (AIE) is seeking a Sr. GIS Analyst to support the development, maintenance, analysis, and delivery of geospatial data and mapping products. Working under the direction of the GIS Manager, this position will assist with day-to-day GIS production, web application development, spatial analysis, and data quality control. The Sr. GIS Analyst will work closely with the GIS Manager and other departments to develop project strategy, organize data, prepare maps and dashboards, create and test appropriate field applications, and maintain existing geospatial applications. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation of direct GIS experience. This position is part of a fast-growing team with ample room for growth into a project management role. Requirements / Qualifications Associate or bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Data Science, Computer Science, Environmental Science, Engineering Technology, or a related field. 5+ years of experience with GIS technology and concepts Foundational knowledge of GIS concepts, spatial data, coordinate systems, and cartographic principles. Proficiency working with ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Enterprise platforms, or similar. Experience developing ArcGIS Dashboards, Survey123 forms, Field Maps, and Experience Builder. Preferred Experience Experience with Python, ArcPy, GeoPandas, R, SQL, or other scripting and data-analysis tools. Experience working with engineering, transportation, environmental, municipal, utility, infrastructure, or public-sector datasets. Familiarity with Survey123 Connect XML language. Familiarity with ArcGIS Enterprise, branched version geodatabases, and ESRI utility networks. GISP Certification or qualifications in place to pursue GISP accreditation in the next 3-5 years. Familiarity with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL. Experience with data cleaning, validation, transformation, or ETL processes. Responsibilities Assist with the development and maintenance of web maps, dashboards, and interactive GIS applications. Create, update, and maintain maps, figures, exhibits, and other geospatial deliverables for internal and client-facing projects. Compile, organize, and process spatial data from public agencies, project teams, field personnel, and other sources. Convert, georeference, digitize, and standardize spatial data from various file formats and source materials. Enter, update, validate, and maintain geospatial and tabular data within GIS databases and project repositories. Work under the direction of the GIS Manager to complete assigned tasks within established schedules and budgets. Coordinate with engineering, surveying, technology, planning, and other project teams to gather and organize required information. Provide general technical and production support to the GIS Manager and project teams as needed. Skills & Abilities Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
