About the Role
Land Logics Group (LLG) is seeking a full-time professional with a degree in landscape architecture, environmental planning, engineering or environmental science to support a wide range of client projects, including GNSS/GPS services, field data collection and mapping, land analysis and design, and public engagement. We serve municipalities, agencies and private clients, and project needs vary from contract to contract, so we are looking for someone who is adaptable and comfortable moving between office, field and community settings.
Candidates should be familiar with stormwater management, land use planning, municipal government, GIS technology and natural resources management. The ideal candidate has 2 to 4 years of professional experience, strong critical thinking skills, and communicates effectively with clients and the public.
This position is based at our office locations in Mechanicsburg (Cumberland County) and Camp Hill, PA, with regular field work throughout the region.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provide technical support, training and equipment configuration for customers using high-accuracy GNSS receivers and related products
Perform field data collection using GNSS receivers, mobile GIS applications, LiDAR scanners and other survey and mapping technologies
Conduct field inspections, observations and condition assessments of infrastructure, facilities and project sites
Plan and support public engagement and community outreach, including meetings, workshops, surveys and direct contact with residents and property owners
Coordinate with property owners, municipalities and other stakeholders to obtain site access, permissions and project information
Prepare maps, reports, data deliverables and outreach materials for clients
Research technical questions and work with software and equipment vendors to resolve issues
Assist with business development, including proposals, marketing and customer support campaigns by email and phone
Perform other duties as assigned to support LLG projects and operations
Qualifications
Degree in landscape architecture, environmental planning, engineering, environmental science or a related field
2 to 4 years of professional experience in landscape architecture, environmental planning, engineering or surveying
CAD skills (AutoCAD, SketchUp)
Knowledge of GIS (Esri ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, Field Maps) and geospatial analysis
Experience with field data collection, site inspections or survey equipment
Interest in and knowledge of Pennsylvania stormwater management issues, policies and practices
People-oriented, with a strong appreciation for customer service
Strong written, verbal and presentation skills, with comfort engaging clients and the public
Ability to work independently while knowing when to seek guidance from staff
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
Ability to travel to the Camp Hill and Mechanicsburg offices and to project field sites
Compensation
Full-time position. Salary range $60,000 to $75,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
