Your Mission
Colas Grands Travaux France is hiring a Surveyor-Topographer (H/F) for major highway and airport construction sites.
As a pivotal role within Colas GTF, you will serve as the link between project plans and field reality—from pre-construction preparation to the production of as-built documentation (DOE).
Key Responsibilities
Establish primary traverse networks and maintain secondary traverses throughout the construction phase
Conduct supplementary field surveys and contribute to execution plans (AutoCAD, Covadis)
Perform structural and infrastructure layout
Provide machine guidance for concrete paving (3D guidance using high-precision total stations)
Carry out layer acceptance surveys and validate elevation discrepancies in coordination with Operations and Quality departments
Add value to client projects by identifying optimization opportunities and alternatives; perform surface and volume take-offs
Ensure compliance with the Quality Control Plan (topographic items)
Advise project teams based on active monitoring of advancements in geomatics, surveying, and emerging technologies
Close out project documentation: conduct final as-built surveys and prepare executed works documentation (as-built plans/DOE)
Profile
Degree in Civil Engineering, Public Works, Surveying, or related field (Bac+2/+3 level: BTS, BUT, etc.)
Prior experience in construction companies and/or surveying firms is required
Candidates with field experience (Site Manager, Works Manager, etc.) seeking to transition into surveying are also encouraged to apply
Experience with large-scale, long-distance projects is a strong asset

Proactive with a strong ability to propose solutions and analyze client needs from a strategic perspective
Team player with a genuine interest in optimizing site operations
Proficient in surveying equipment (motorized total stations, GPS, leveling instruments) and enthusiastic about adopting new technologies
