About the Role
Job responsibility
Team member - GIS is responsible for GIS Management &
Governance of all the OSP and Fiber elements in the Network.
Major responsibilities include: 1.
Data Model
Changes implementation in the system. e.g. adding new attribute in the system.
Working with MS provider to ensure that GIS is updated and synchronized with field data on timely manner.
Monthly signoff of MS provider KPI basis reconciliation.
Supporting user to configure required reports in GIS. Here GIS Governance team implement a logic to configure and extract required report from GIS.
Working in MAP Info to extract data in KMZ format, Bifurcate data circle wise for sharing with FO/CPO team.
Data updating into GIS e.g.
Network
Building, Fiber Routes, Floor, Chamber location, equipment.
Maintaining GIS vs Network data accuracy The aspirant for Team member - GIS role must have in-depth understanding about the GIS systems to deliver the same with the partners.

Necessary
Skills
Hands-on experience on GIS Platforms with hands on knowledge of OSP.
Product knowledge Understanding of Technology &
Products – SDH , OTN , ASON, DWDM , GPON ETC - Understanding of EMPower, SFDC, Metasolv, SAP &
Viznet CRM tools, is an added advantage.
Highly skilled in use of MS-Office and Efficiency enhancement tools.
Qualification
Diploma/ B.E. (Telecom/Communication)
Overall Work Experience
6 to 8 Years in GIS &
Small World Platforms
