Role Overview
As a Topography Expert, you will directly contribute to the updating and enhancement of our GIS database. Your field and office work will ensure that every element of the distribution network is accurately represented, supporting informed operational decisions and system safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct topographic surveys for new natural gas distribution projects, continuously updating the GIS database;
Verify in the field the accuracy of distribution system elements represented in the GIS database;
Control the quality of topographic measurements submitted by subcontractors for investment works (extensions, replacements, rehabilitation);
Participate in GIS database improvement projects: customer identification, cartographic base updates, new topographic surveys;
Install, initialize, and operate topographic equipment (GPS, total station), ensuring measurement accuracy;
Download and process data from topographic equipment using specialized software (AutoCAD Map, QGIS, MapEDIT);
Maintain records of completed works and prepare periodic activity reports.
Requirements:
Completed secondary education with a high school diploma (baccalaureate); technical higher education is an advantage;
Practical experience operating GPS and total station equipment;
Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with QGIS or MapEDIT is a plus;
Experience in utilities/infrastructure (gas, water, energy) is considered an advantage;
Valid Category B driving license (mandatory);
Strong attention to detail, professional rigor, and autonomous organizational skills;
Availability for fieldwork and frequent travel.
