We work on international exploration, development, carbon capture, and geothermal projects. We have an exciting opportunity for a 12-month undergraduate or recent graduate intern to join our technical team in Ledbury as an Intern Geoscience Assistant. This role offers hands-on experience in subsurface data management, GIS mapping, geological data synthesis, and technical report preparation. Key Responsibilities: GIS & Mapping Support: Assist project geoscientists by compiling spatial datasets, creating geological and structural maps using ArcGIS Pro, and digitizing historic maps. Subsurface Data Management: Organize, quality-check, and load well log, seismic, and GIS datasets into technical databases. Geological Research: Help gather, summarize, and catalog regional geological literature, well reports, and spatial data for client projects. Technical Documentation: Draft technical figures, cross-sections, and report graphics for presentation to clients. Software Exposure: Gain practical experience using industry-standard subsurface and GIS software (ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, Kingdom, Petrel). Candidate Requirements: Currently studying for or recently graduated with a degree (BSc or MSc) in Geology, Geoscience, Earth Science, Geography, or GIS. Good working knowledge of basic GIS concepts and software (ArcGIS Pro or QGIS). Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail when handling numerical and spatial data. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Enthusiasm to learn and contribute to a fast-paced technical consultancy. Eligibility to work in the UK.
