About the Role
Description
TEHORA is currently seeking a 3D / GIS / BIM Specialist to contribute to the design and integration of spatial representations and 3D models within digital twin projects.
The selected individual will be responsible for managing, transforming, and visualizing geospatial data and digital building models (BIM), ensuring their seamless integration into visualization and analysis platforms. They will play a key role in enhancing the value of spatial data and creating immersive, actionable user experiences.
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Integrating and processing 3D models (BIM, CAD, urban models)
Managing geospatial data and Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
Converting and optimizing 3D models (e.g., glTF, 3D Tiles)
Integrating models and data into web or 3D engine-based visualization platforms
Developing or configuring interactive 3D viewers
Ensuring consistency between spatial, IoT, and analytical data
Structuring geospatial data and metadata
Optimizing 3D visualization performance and rendering
Collaborating with data, IoT, and development teams
Documenting 3D/GIS/BIM integration processes and standards
Requirements
Degree in geomatics, computer science, engineering, architecture, or a related field
Minimum of 3–8 years of experience in GIS, BIM, or 3D visualization
Proficiency in GIS tools (ArcGIS, QGIS, or equivalent)
Experience with BIM formats (IFC, Revit, etc.)
Understanding of 3D modeling and web visualization concepts
Solid knowledge of coordinate systems and projections
Ability to manipulate and transform complex datasets
Strong attention to detail, autonomy, and collaborative mindset
Fluent in French (English is an asset)
Preferred Skills (Assets)
Experience with web 3D visualization technologies (Three.js, Cesium, Babylon.js)
Knowledge of optimized 3D formats (glTF, 3D Tiles)
Experience integrating BIM into digital platforms
Familiarity with geospatial databases (PostGIS)
Participation in digital twin or smart city projects
Proficiency with data processing tools (FME, Blender, etc.)
