About the Role
Company
EPSI, a dynamic division of the French company ITNI SAS, specializes in designing, developing, and manufacturing continuous-wave radar surveillance systems. Our team of 40 passionate professionals, based in Beauzelle near Toulouse, pushes the boundaries of innovation to deliver reliable and high-performance radar solutions.
Your Missions
Participate in the modernization and expansion of the cartographic georeferencing system within our software. Your challenge: evolve a manual and restrictive calibration system into a flexible, modern architecture.
You will enable the software to support vector and technical file formats (DXF, DWG, SVG) and automate the calibration process by leveraging embedded metadata or image scale detection.
During this 6-month internship, your responsibilities will include:
Analyzing the current georeferencing system and identifying bottlenecks related to supported formats.
Conducting a technical study of target file formats (DXF, DWG, SVG) to determine how to extract positioning and scale data.
Designing and proposing a new georeferencing architecture to automate calibration (via metadata or scale recognition).
Implementing support for new file formats and the automatic calibration engine within the C++/Qt application.
Developing a user interface for managing and validating georeferencing across different formats.
Conducting precision tests to ensure accurate positioning of map elements.
Documenting projection algorithms and technical decisions through detailed reports.
Collaborating with the development team to integrate and test these enhancements into the overall development cycle.
Profile Sought
We are seeking a fifth-year student (Bac+5) from an engineering school or university, specializing in software development, with a strong interest in algorithmic geometry or Geographic Information Systems (GIS), for a software development internship.
You Are:
Curious and innovative
Autonomous with strong initiative
Capable of working in a multidisciplinary team environment
Familiar with geographic coordinate concepts
Proficient in C++ programming and the Qt framework
Analytical and synthetic in thinking, with solid written communication skills
Why Join Us?
