Job description: About the Team This position is part of ZF’s ADAS & HPC business, which is entering an exciting new phase of growth and transformation within the advanced automotive technology space. The business unit is planned for divestiture, creating a unique opportunity to help shape the future of next-generation driver assistance and high-performance computing technologies. Join our Connectivity and HD Mapping team building the technology that powers autonomous vehicles. You'll work on algorithms that process sensor data from our test fleet into centimeter-accurate 3D maps. What you can look forward to as an Algorithm Engineer-HD Mapping [f/m/d]: Design and implement algorithms for spatial data processing and multi-sensor fusion. Optimize geometric computations for large-scale map generation pipelines. Build production-ready code that processes terabytes of real-world data. Collaborate with cloud engineers and ADAS teams to deploy your algorithms at scale. Profile description: Your profile as an Algorithm Engineer-HD Mapping [f/m/d]: BS/MS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or Physics. 3+ years of professional software development experience. Strong Python skills (NumPy, Pandas, SciPy). Solid foundation in algorithms and data structures. Experience with geometric algorithms, signal processing, or statistical methods. Ability to translate research concepts into production code. Fluency in English. Nice to Have: Geospatial computing experience. Knowledge of autonomous driving or ADAS systems.
