We are looking for an Associate Director - GIS Lead to take strategic ownership of our global GIS and Spatial Data Capability within the Consult division. In this senior leadership role, you will define the enterprise GIS vision, drive digital transformation, and lead spatial data governance across major infrastructure programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Define and execute Mace's enterprise GIS roadmap, aligning spatial technology with overall digital engineering and building information management (BIM) strategies.
Team Management: Lead, recruit, and mentor a high-performing team of GIS managers, spatial data engineers, and analysts across multiple business units.
Enterprise Infrastructure: Oversee the architecture and governance of Mace's Esri ArcGIS Enterprise, cloud spatial data lakes (Azure/AWS), and integration with project management systems (Aconex, Unifier).
Business Development: Lead GIS bids, author technical proposals, and present spatial innovation strategies to major public and private sector clients.
Innovation & R&D: Champion spatial analytics, digital twins, AI/ML spatial applications, and automated site selection tools.
Requirements:
Extensive experience in senior GIS leadership roles within consultancy, infrastructure, or construction.
Proven track record managing large-scale enterprise GIS implementations (Esri stack, FME, cloud databases).
Strong commercial acumen, bid management expertise, and executive client-facing experience.
Chartered status (CGeog / FRGS / FRICS) or equivalent professional recognition.
