Job Snapshot Role: BIM GIS Engineer - Infrastructure Location: Dubai, UAE Industry: Civil Engineering Function: Civil & Structural Engineering Experience: Minimum 10 years Job Type: Full-time Role Context The BIM GIS Engineer plays an essential role in modern infrastructure delivery by integrating digital engineering models with real site conditions and authority requirements. This position improves construction accuracy, utility coordination, and long‑term asset management by ensuring that BIM and GIS data remain technically reliable and aligned with project execution. Key Responsibilities - Prepare and revise technical drawings, layouts, and as‑built documentation using MicroStation and AutoCAD * Translate engineering design inputs into coordinated and construction‑ready technical drawings * Review and maintain drawings according to project specifications and authority requirements including RTA, DM, and DEWA * Track and verify sewerage, stormwater, and irrigation networks using existing as‑built records from DS, IRR, and Roads projects * Conduct site surveys and coordinate with inspectors to collect accurate field data for as‑built documentation * Prepare redline markups, section details, pipeline profiles, and microtunneling shaft layouts * Review contractor as‑built submissions and shop drawings to verify alignment with actual site execution * Support utility coordination drawings across multiple services to prevent clashes and improve project delivery * Maintain digital archives and organized records for all revisions, approvals, and drawing submissions * Ensure all CAD deliverables meet AECOM and authority drafting standards for layering, scaling, and title block consistency * Provide drafting and BIM support during active construction to reflect approved design changes Ideal Profile - Bachelor's Degree in Geography, Civil Engineering, Survey Engineering, Geomatics Engineering, or a related field * Minimum 10 years of professional experience in BIM and GIS engineering roles * Strong background in infrastructure projects involving drainage, irrigation, roads, and utility networks * Experience working within UAE authority frameworks and technical submission standards * Strong understanding of utility coordination and multidisciplinary project environments * Ability to manage complex drawing revisions with high technical precision Skills Set - Autodesk Civil 3D * Autodesk Map * Bentley MicroStation * Infraworks * AutoCAD * Revit * Navisworks * Esri ArcGIS * QGIS * BIM coordination and clash management * GIS mapping and infrastructure analysis * Utility coordination and as‑built documentation Why Join Us - Work on major transportation and infrastructure developments across Dubai * Be part of advanced BIM and GIS‑driven engineering projects with high technical impact * Collaborate with global experts in digital engineering and infrastructure planning * Gain long‑term career growth with one of the world's leading engineering consultancies * Access continuous technical development and exposure to large‑scale multidisciplinary projects About the Company AECOM Middle East is a leading engineering and infrastructure consultancy based in Dubai, delivering innovative and sustainable solutions across transportation, buildings, water, environment, and energy.
