We're Hiring | Engineering Manager (Python | AWS | Geo/GIS) | Remote | Contract Are you an experienced Engineering Manager with a strong background in Python, AWS, API Development, and Geo-Spatial Data ? We're looking for a hands-on technical leader to build and scale customer-facing geospatial platforms while mentoring high-performing engineering teams. 📍 Position: Engineering Manager 📍 Location: Remote 💼 Employment Type: Contract 📅 Experience: 8+ Years 🚀 Immediate Joiners Preferred 🔹 Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and coach engineering teams while driving technical excellence. Design, develop, and deliver scalable customer-facing applications using Python, FastAPI, and REST APIs . Architect and implement high-performance backend services and geospatial data platforms. Build and optimize Geo/POI data ingestion pipelines using AWS and SQL. Drive API-first architecture and cloud-native development on AWS. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions. Strengthen Agile practices, engineering processes, and CI/CD delivery pipelines. Conduct code reviews, technical planning, performance management, and career development for engineers. Leverage AI-powered engineering tools to improve developer productivity and software delivery. ✅ Required Skills 8+ years of software development and engineering experience. Strong hands-on experience with Python and FastAPI . Expertise in REST API Development . Strong software architecture and system design experience. Hands-on experience with AWS (S3, EC2, ECS, EMR, Lambda, etc.). Experience building ETL/Data Pipelines using SQL and AWS services. Strong knowledge of GIS, Geospatial Data, POI (Points of Interest), and Location Data Ingestion . Experience with Airflow and Git . Strong SQL skills for analytics and troubleshooting. Experience leading engineering teams and mentoring developers. Familiarity with AI engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude , or similar platforms. ⭐ Preferred Skills Experience with large-scale geospatial platforms. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience working in Agile environments.
