Unlike traditional ISPs, we believe every fiber, joint, splitter, and customer connection should be professionally planned, documented, and traceable. We are looking for an experienced OSP & GIS / Documentation Engineer who will own the planning, documentation, and continuous improvement of our Outside Plant (OSP) network. **Position Summary** The OSP & GIS / Documentation Engineer will be responsible for designing, documenting, and maintaining the complete fiber infrastructure, ensuring that every network asset is accurately recorded and follows company standards. This role combines fiber network planning, GIS mapping, documentation, quality assurance, and infrastructure inventory management. #### **Key Responsibilities** OSP Planning & Network Design Design FTTH backbone and distribution fiber routes. Plan ODN (Optical Distribution Network) architecture. Survey new deployment areas. Determine optimal routes for backbone and distribution cables. Select cable sizes based on current and future capacity. Plan fiber core allocation. Design splitter architecture (1:16, 1:8, etc.). Determine ODP/FDB placement. Plan joint closure locations. Plan slack loop locations. Prepare expansion plans for future growth. Optimize network design to reduce costs while maintaining reliability. Maintain spare core records. Track used and available fibers. Ensure proper core allocation standards are followed. Prevent duplicate or incorrect assignments. Asset Numbering & Labeling Develop and maintain standardized naming conventions for: #### **POPs** #### **Cables Poles** #### **Joint closures** #### **ODPs** #### **FDBs** #### **Splitters** #### **Cabinets** #### **Fiber routes** **Verify proper labeling during field deployment.** **As-Built Documentation** #### **After every deployment:** Verify actual installation against approved design. Update GIS records. Update route drawings. Update splice records. Update cable lengths. Record deviations from original design.
