Role Description
The
Geodetic Engineer
is a full-time, on-site role based in Marikina City, Metro Manila. This position is responsible for planning and conducting land and engineering surveys for renewable energy project sites, including boundary, topographic, and construction layout surveys. The role involves operating survey instruments, validating and processing field data, and preparing maps, plans, and reports to support project design, permitting, and construction. The Geodetic Engineer collaborates closely with civil engineers, project managers, and external contractors to ensure accurate site data for feasibility studies, design optimization, and quality control. Additional responsibilities include maintaining survey equipment, ensuring compliance with local regulations and professional standards, and supporting the development of geospatial databases for ongoing asset management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Geodetic Engineering
PRC Registered and Licensed Geodetic Engineer (RGE)
with valid license
Preferably
5+ years of professional surveying experience
Experience in
renewable energy, power, transmission, utilities, infrastructure, or large-scale land development
preferred
Capable of independently
planning, executing, processing, QA/QC, and delivering complete survey works
Expert in
topographic, boundary/relocation, cadastral, engineering, construction, as-built, route/corridor, and control surveys
Advanced experience with
GNSS/GPS, RTK, PPK, Total Station, digital leveling, and survey control networks
Capable of
transmission line, access road, substation, BESS, solar, and wind project surveys
Advanced hands-on expertise in
UAV/drone LiDAR and aerial photogrammetry
Experienced in
LiDAR mission planning, GNSS/IMU integration, GCPs/checkpoints, and accuracy validation
Expert in
LiDAR point-cloud processing, classification, filtering, and feature extraction
Capable of producing
DTM, DSM, DEM, contours, orthomosaics, 3D terrain models, and engineering-grade survey outputs
Experienced in
vegetation/canopy analysis, corridor mapping, terrain analysis, and earthwork/volume calculations
Advanced/Expert GIS Specialist
, particularly in
ArcGIS Pro and/or QGIS
Strong skills in
spatial analysis, geodatabases, coordinate systems, projections, raster/vector processing, and cartography
Experienced in
slope, terrain, viewshed, hydrology, watershed, land-use, constraint, and site-suitability analysis
Capable of integrating
LiDAR, drone imagery, cadastral, GNSS, CAD, engineering, and GIS datasets
Proficient in
AutoCAD/Civil 3D or equivalent engineering CAD workflows
Preferably skilled in
Python/ArcPy, PyQGIS, SQL/PostGIS, or GIS workflow automation
Knowledgeable in
renewable-energy site screening, land due diligence, ROW/easement mapping, constructability, grading, and interconnection studies
Able to establish and maintain the company's
central geospatial/GIS database and mapping standards
Preferably holds appropriate
CAAP drone/RPA certification
for commercial UAV operations
Strong understanding of
survey accuracy standards, coordinate/datum management, data QA/QC, and professional survey documentation
Able to support projects throughout the full lifecycle:
Site Acquisition → Development → Engineering → Construction → As-Built → Operations
Expected to serve as the company's
technical authority for Surveying, LiDAR, Remote Sensing, and GIS
domain
