Job Details: Role Title: Cloud GIS Application Specialist Location: Bavaria, Germany Employment: FTC Place of Work: Hybrid - 2/3 days to the office a week Experience Required: 10+ Years Job Description: Engagement Type: Time & Material Position Overview The Cloud GIS Application Specialist develops, containerizes, and operates cloud-native Geographic Information System (GIS) solutions. The role bridges traditional commercial GIS software with modern cloud-native Kubernetes infrastructure. Role Responsibilities: GIS Cloud Integration: Design and integrate cloud-native GIS applications combining commercial (ArcGIS Enterprise) and Open Source solutions. ArcGIS Administration: Administer and install ArcGIS Enterprise across distributed multi-cloud environments. Automated Deployments: Build and maintain automated image build and deployment pipelines for GIS services on Kubernetes. Data Transfer: Establish secure data transfer mechanisms between isolated environments. Technical Qualifications & Skills Must Have: Fluent German (written and spoken) and technical English. Hands-on DevOps experience with Kubernetes (microservices architecture, SLOs, container deployment). Administration experience with ArcGIS Enterprise in distributed environments. Familiarity with Open Source GIS tools (GeoServer, PostGIS, QGIS). Tool-based code management (Git) and agile teamwork experience.
