Geographic Information Systems Engineer

Job Title: GIS Engineer / GIS Analyst Location : Mumbai Experience Required: 6 Months – 2 Years Job Summary : We are looking for a GIS Engineer/GIS Analyst with hands-on experience in satellite imagery, geospatial data processing, and GIS database management. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience working with ArcGIS tools to support geospatial projects. Key Responsibilities Perform satellite image interpretation and data capture. Execute image rectification and geoprocessing using GIS tools. Interpret geospatial outputs and ensure data accuracy. Create, update, and maintain data in File Geodatabases (File GDB). Edit and update GIS datasets in versioned geodatabases. Perform quality checks on vector and raster datasets. Identify and resolve topological errors. Analyze and update historical GIS data. Perform GIS data conflation and data management activities. Track project progress and prepare status reports. Prepare technical documentation and quality reports. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely project delivery. Support technical training and knowledge-sharing activities. Required Skills Experience in satellite image interpretation and GIS data processing. Knowledge of vector and raster data management. Understanding of topology validation and GIS data quality standards. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment. Technical Skills ArcGIS ArcGIS Pro ArcScene Microsoft Office Suite Qualification Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geoinformatics, GIS, Remote Sensing, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
