Job Summary
We are seeking a competent GIS Engineer to develop and manage GIS applications and geospatial data across the organization. This position is responsible for maintaining geodatabases, conducting spatial analysis, providing cross-departmental support, and ensuring GIS implementation adheres to the latest industry standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, manage, and maintain GIS applications and systems
Manage and maintain geodatabases (file-based and enterprise) to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and availability
Ensure GIS implementation follows the latest industry standards and best practices
Perform data conversion, integration, and GIS analysis across departments including: Environment, Surveying, Land Acquisition, Exploration, Construction, Mine Engineering, and Permitting
Create and deliver maps, charts, reports, and other GIS outputs to support departmental needs
Support spatial analysis for planning, engineering, and operational activities
Follow up on design approval processes, from land acquisition through to management approval
Develop and maintain GIS data, process, and standards documentation
Provide technical support and GIS coordination to other departments
Qualifications
Minimum Bachelor’s degree (S1) in GIS, Geomatics, Geography, Engineering, or a related field
Minimum 5 years of experience as a GIS Engineer or similar role
Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, QGIS, or equivalent)
Experience managing geodatabases
Strong understanding of coordinate systems, map projections, and spatial data models
Experience with spatial data conversion, validation, and analysis methodologies
Hold a First-Class Operational Supervisor Certification (Sertifikasi Pengawas Operasional Pertama – POP)
