Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Technician

Job Description This part-time, hybrid-position GIS Technician is located in the Greater Curitiba area, with partial remote work possible. Day-to-day responsibilities include collecting, organizing, and updating geospatial data related to drone-based spraying operations. The role involves producing thematic maps, performing spatial analyses, and integrating field data with digital databases to support technical and strategic decision-making. The technician will also ensure data quality, maintain well-documented geographic databases, and generate clear reports and visualizations for operational and management teams. Close collaboration with field teams is required to collect and validate data, as well as to guide proper map usage during field operations. Qualifications Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS), including use of GIS software and creation of digital maps. Proficiency in handling geospatial data, including interpreting geometries, coordinates, and geographic information layers. Strong data management skills, including organizing geographic databases, processing information, and ensuring data integrity. Analytical competencies to conduct spatial analyses, interpret results, and support evidence-based decision-making. Preferred Qualifications Technical or undergraduate degree in Geography, Agronomy, Forestry Engineering, Geoprocessing, or related fields. Basic knowledge of drone operations. Familiarity with office software tools. Ability to collaborate effectively in a hybrid work environment.
