Job Description
The City of Oberndorf am Neckar is seeking to fill the position of Geospatial Data Management and GIS Coordinator (m/f/d) at the earliest possible date.
Key Responsibilities:
Establish, maintain, and further develop the cross-departmental Geographic Information System (GIS) as a central management tool for the City Administration of Oberndorf am Neckar;
Ensure standardized collection, cleaning, updating, and integration of geospatial data from various departments and systems;
Develop and maintain the Citizen GIS platform to provide up-to-date, user-friendly information to the public;
Consolidate existing GIS solutions and implement standards, processes, and quality guidelines for structured data management;
Coordinate and supervise external service providers involved in data preparation and integration;
Collaborate with departmental offices to leverage synergies and optimize citywide geospatial data applications;
Produce reports, analyses, and thematic maps to support cross-departmental decision-making.
Profile Requirements:
Completed university degree or equivalent vocational training in GIS, Geography, Surveying/Geomatics, Geodesy, Urban and Regional Planning, or Cartography;
Solid experience with GIS software (preferred: INGRADA), CAD applications, and relational databases;
Proficiency in handling geospatial data, data modeling, and spatial relationships, along with familiarity with municipal cadastral systems;
Strong analytical and process-oriented thinking, combined with a structured, solution-focused work approach;
High affinity for digital administrative processes and interest in advancing municipal geospatial data management;
Team-oriented, strong communication skills, and willingness to cooperate across departments with both internal and external stakeholders.

Performance-based compensation up to pay grade 11 of the German public sector collective wage agreement (TVöD), ranging from €4,269.64 to €6,326.77 gross per month, depending on experience and qualifications. Final placement is subject to assessment of your qualifications and relevant professional experience.
