NM Group (part of Ormat Technologies) is a specialist provider of remote sensing, LiDAR, and spatial data solutions to the global utility and infrastructure sectors. We use advanced aerial survey, LiDAR, and photogrammetry technology to deliver high-precision asset management models for electricity transmission and distribution networks.
We are looking for a detailed-oriented Geospatial Processor to join our processing team in Llandudno. In this role, you will process, classify, and quality-check raw LiDAR, aerial imagery, and spatial datasets collected from airborne surveys.
Key Responsibilities:
LiDAR & Data Processing: Calibrate, classify, and process raw airborne LiDAR data using specialized software (PLS-CADD, Terrasolid, MicroStation, or similar).
Imagery Processing: Perform photogrammetric processing, orthophoto generation, and spatial calibration of aerial imagery.
Feature Extraction: Extract utility infrastructure features (conductors, towers, vegetation clearance, terrain models) from point cloud data.
Quality Control: Conduct rigorous quality checks on spatial deliverables to ensure compliance with client technical specifications.
Workflow Optimization: Assist senior processors in testing and refining data processing scripts and automation routines.
Qualifications & Experience:
Degree or HND/HNC in GIS, Surveying, Geomatics, Geography, or a related discipline.
Hands-on experience processing point cloud data (LiDAR) or photogrammetric imagery.
Familiarity with point cloud processing software (Terrasolid, PLS-CADD, MicroStation, CloudCompare, LAStools) is an advantage.
Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and comfortable working with large datasets.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented production environment.
