State of Idaho - Department of Water Resources (IDWR) is recruiting a GIS Analyst to join our Geospatial Technology team in Boise, ID.
IDWR manages Idaho's water resources, water rights, dam safety, and spatial water modeling.
Key Responsibilities:
Water Rights Mapping: Maintain digital water rights spatial layers, basin boundaries, and point-of-diversion mapping in ArcGIS Pro.
Hydrological Spatial Analysis: Conduct spatial analysis of groundwater monitoring, river basin flows, and evapotranspiration data.
Web Application Development: Develop interactive web mapping tools (ArcGIS Web AppBuilder / Experience Builder) for public water rights searches.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in GIS, Hydrology, Geography, Environmental Science, or related field.
2+ years experience in GIS spatial analysis and database maintenance.
Knowledge of water resources, hydrology, or natural resources mapping is desirable.
