About The Role Our Balfour Beatty Highways business has a terrific opportunity for a GIS Analyst to join our £1.2 billion Lower Thames Crossing project The Lower Thames Crossing (LTC) is one of the UK’s most significant infrastructure projects. LTC is a new road that will connect Kent and Essex through a tunnel beneath the River Thames and will be the greenest road ever built in the UK - creating six times more green space than road . The reliable new route will almost double road capacity over the river east of London to reduce congestion and give millions of people more choice on where they live, work and spend their valuable time. As a GIS Analyst , you will support the project with GIS activities and the delivery of GIS requirements, working as an integral member of the IM team, within the remit of digital delivery across the project, whilst supporting and interfacing with all functions. What you'll be doing Provide support to GIS Co-ordinators and GIS Consultant/Developer in the delivery of GIS requirements. Create GIS map outputs. Support with managing data and ensuring accuracy of data, including assurance to the required standards. Assist the team as they work closely with CAD Co-ordinators and data stakeholders to convert data to GIS formats. Training users on GIS technology. Engage with users to help improve their work and deal with queries. Assist in the development of GIS tools and workflows, including field apps and dashboards. Assist in using FME to create automated workflows. Who we're looking for Knowledge of the ESRI ecosystem, including tools and Geodatabases. Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy. Experience of data quality and assurance. Experience of FME Desktop. Ability to learn new skills. Ability to work as part of a team. Experience of coding for GIS. Ability to work to deadlines, with supervision as needed. Ability to travel to multiple sites (where required).
