About the Role
EagleRock Land, LLC is seeking a GIS Analyst to support our Land, Operations, and Business Development teams. This position will manage and analyze geographic data and create maps and GIS products that support surface land management, infrastructure, water operations, development projects, and business decisions throughout the Permian Basin.
Key Responsibilities
· Maintain and update GIS databases, maps, and spatial data.
· Create professional maps and exhibits for land, operations, engineering, management, and business development.
· Map and maintain information related to surface acreage, property boundaries, easements, rights-of-way, pipelines, roads, wells, water infrastructure, and facilities.
· Perform spatial analysis to support land management, acquisitions, due diligence, infrastructure planning, and development activities.
· Review and validate GIS data for accuracy and completeness.
· Support field teams with mapping, GPS/GNSS data, and field verification.
· Incorporate field-collected information into GIS databases.
· Support ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, and mobile GIS applications.
· Work collaboratively with internal departments and outside vendors, consultants, surveyors, and contractors as needed.
· Identify opportunities to improve GIS processes, data quality, and efficiency.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Geomatics, Environmental Science, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
· Strong understanding of GIS principles, spatial data, mapping, and analysis.
· Strong Microsoft Excel and computer skills.
· Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience in oil & gas, land management, water, energy, utilities, surveying, or infrastructure.
· Experience with surface land, easements, rights-of-way, or property data.
· Knowledge of Permian Basin land and infrastructure data.
Work Environment
This position is primarily office-based in Midland, Texas, with occasional travel to field locations in Texas and New Mexico. Field work may involve outdoor environments, uneven terrain, operational facilities, and construction areas. Appropriate PPE and safety procedures are required when working in the field.
