GIS Analyst

* Assist Latapult team in performing spatial analysis and creating mapping visuals. * Support data management tasks, including data entry, validation, and maintenance of geospatial databases. * Conduct and manage basic spatial analysis tasks such as buffering, overlay analysis, and map layer production. * Manage custom GIS tools and scripts to automate workflows and improve efficiency. * Prepare visualizations to communicate spatial analysis findings to the Latapult team. * Collaborate with colleagues to understand geospatial product requirements and contribute to product deliverables. * Stay updated on GIS trends and technologies through training and professional development opportunities. ### Requirements * Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Environmental Science, or a related field. * Experience with GIS software (e.g. coursework, internships, or projects). * Proficiency in GIS software, including ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, and QGIS. * Basic understanding of spatial analysis techniques and cartographic principles. * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. * Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues. * Experience with web-based GIS applications (e.g., ArcGIS Online, Leaflet). * Familiarity with basic scripting or programming languages (e.g. Python) for geospatial analysis and automation. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Knowledge of remote sensing techniques and image processing. * Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex GIS concepts to non-technical audiences. * Experience with database management (e.g., PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and data manipulation. * Enthusiastic and passionate about learning and leveraging geospatial technology to solve real-world challenges in a dynamic work environment. ### Benefits * Competitive salary commensurate with experience. * Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance. * Retirement savings plan with employer matching. * Paid time off and company holidays. * Opportunities for career growth and professional development.
