GIS Analyst

The GIS Analyst - GeoAI role involves supporting the various Stantec offices globally on projects that require bridging the gap between complex Remote Sensing (RS) analysis and scalable Machine Learning (ML) solutions, ensuring our global offices stay at the cutting edge of spatial intelligence. Qualifications and skills: • Master’s degree (or higher) in Geospatial Science, Remote Sensing, Data Science, or a related discipline. • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience designing and delivering production-grade FME Workbench solutions. • Practical exposure to spatial decision support workflows, such as suitability or feasibility analysis, weighted overlay analysis, and basic network tracing, particularly within urban planning, water-wastewater, or environmental contexts. • Practical exposure to the ArcGIS ecosystem (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and/or ArcGIS Enterprise) and integration of GIS outputs into client and project workflows. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with demonstrated capability to work independently on complex technical challenges. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience producing technical documentation, user guides, and project reports. • Proven ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary, global teams, including engineers, project managers, clients, and senior stakeholders. • Strong requirements-gathering, stakeholder engagement, and presentation skills are advantageous. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt effectively to changing project demands. • Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and structured delivery environments is desirable. • Commitment to safe work practices, professional standards, and organizational values. • International project delivery experience is preferred. • Proactive, collaborative team player with a professional and solution-oriented mindset.
