About the Role
This role is open to any of our three office locations: Canonsburg, PA, Oklahoma City, OK, and Ludington, MI
Job Summary:
The GIS Analyst position works with project stakeholders to collect, create, manage, interpret, and utilize GIS data from a variety of sources for an assortment of applications across the energy industry.
Job Responsibilities:
Provides mapping support to clients, project managers, title examiners, land agents, lease analysts, and others on a daily basis.
Spatially locate, map, attribute and track data across the United States and in response to energy and land development needs.
Research and navigate various county, state, federal, and third-party resources / websites to support daily tasks.
Interpret courthouse and real estate documentation (leases, deeds, assignments, unit declarations, releases, amendments, extensions, title ownership reports, right of way agreements, Alta surveys, etc.).
Georeference tax maps, warrant maps, historic farm maps, as-built surveys, and other materials to digitize subject matter.
Convert data between various file types.
Perform spatial analysis based on project criteria / needs.
Generate accurate, inclusive reports and high-quality maps tailored to project and client driven needs.
Develop and maintain databases, map services, and mapping applications/dashboards using the Esri ArcGIS product suite (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online/Enterprise).
Cross-team collaboration with other GIS Analysts to maintain standards, troubleshoot GIS issues, contribute to and stay educated on new processes, enhancements, etc.

Required Skills & Abilities:
Familiarity with basic cartographic principles.
Familiarity with Geodatabase design, structure, and management.
Proficiency with the Esri ArcGIS product suite (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online/Enterprise); familiarity with Field Maps and Esri tools a plus.
Land, Right-Of-Way, Oil & Gas and/or Renewables experience preferred.
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, CoPilot, and SharePoint is desired.
Python / FME experience a plus.
Must be able to prioritize & multi-task incoming requests, as well as maintain ongoing professional communication with project stakeholders.
Keen attention to detail.
Required Education & Experience:
2-4+ years of dedicated GIS experience required. Preferably in the brokerage, exploration, and/or midstream sectors of the Land & Energy industry.
