About the Role

Post: GIS Analyst & Engineer Location: Jamnagar, Gujarat & Pune, Maharashtra (Hybrid potential/On-site required) Education: Candidates must have an Engineering degree and/or Geoinformatics, GIS, or a closely related field. Significant GIS certification/work experience will also be considered. Experience: 3 to 5 years of professional work experience directly in GIS analysis and engineering support. (This is not a position for fresh graduates) Salary Range: ₹30,000 - ₹45,000 Key Responsibilities GIS Data Management Gather, process, organise, and maintain sophisticated geospatial datasets obtained from multiple sources, including satellite imagery, GPS, field surveys, etc. Spatial Analysis Conduct advanced spatial analysis and modeling to assist engineering design, feasibility assessments, and project planning activities. Map Creation & Visualisation Develop detailed, professional-quality maps, layers, and interactive web maps for technical documentation and stakeholder presentations. Engineering Integration Utilize engineering concepts to interpret GIS information and ensure spatial analyses are technically accurate and properly incorporated into project workflows. Database Administration Administer and enhance geodatabases while ensuring data consistency, precision, integrity, and easy accessibility. Quality Control Establish and uphold stringent Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) procedures for all GIS deliverables. Reporting: Prepare detailed technical reports and supporting documentation based on GIS analysis and engineering conclusions. Required Skills GIS Software Expertise Advanced proficiency in ESRI ArcGIS Pro/Desktop, ArcGIS Online, and QGIS is mandatory. Technical Skills Strong knowledge of coordinate reference systems, map projections, data transformation/conversion, and spatial databases such as PostgreSQL/PostGIS. Engineering Knowledge Working knowledge of engineering concepts, such as civil or environmental engineering, and their application to geospatial information. Technical Writing Demonstrated capability to present complex data results through concise technical reports and clear visual maps. Problem Solving Excellent analytical reasoning and critical-thinking abilities to address and resolve spatial engineering problems.
