GIS Analyst or Sr. GIS Analyst

Position Overview The City of Charlottesville is seeking a qualified GIS Analyst or Senior GIS Analyst to join the Information Technology Department. Salary: $62,000 - $88,000 DOQ Duties: Perform spatial analysis, cartographic design, and database administration for City departments. Maintain enterprise GIS geodatabases, web applications, and open data catalog. Develop Python scripts and Arcade expressions to automate GIS tasks. Assist with GIS integration with asset management, permitting, and public safety systems. Provide GIS support and technical assistance to City staff and external agencies. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Urban Planning, or related field. 2+ years of GIS experience (Analyst) or 5+ years (Senior GIS Analyst). Proficiency with Esri ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, Python, and SQL.
