GIS Analyst / Senior GIS Analyst

We are seeking an experienced GIS Analyst / Senior GIS Analyst to join our growing Spatial team in Brisbane. In this role, you will work on major infrastructure, transport, environmental, and energy projects, delivering high-quality spatial analysis, cartographic outputs, and data management solutions. Key Responsibilities Produce accurate, high-quality maps and spatial data visualisations for client reports, environmental impact assessments, and technical documentation. Perform spatial analysis, data transformations, and quality control across complex spatial datasets. Design, configure, and maintain ArcGIS Online / Enterprise web maps, dashboards, and mobile field data collection applications (Field Maps, Survey123). Manage spatial databases, ensuring data integrity, metadata standards, and proper versioning. Automate spatial processing tasks and data workflows using Python (ArcPy), FME, or ModelBuilder. Collaborate with engineers, environmental scientists, planners, and project managers to understand spatial requirements and provide technical solutions. Assist in mentoring junior GIS staff and contributing to technical best practices within the team. Qualifications & Experience Degree in GIS, Spatial Science, Geomatics, Environmental Science, or a related discipline. 3-7+ years of professional experience in a GIS role, preferably within an engineering or environmental consultancy. Advanced proficiency with Esri ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Enterprise. Experience with field data collection setup using ArcGIS Field Maps and Survey123. Proven experience with spatial automation using Python (ArcPy) or FME is highly desirable. Strong spatial database management skills (Enterprise Geodatabases, PostgreSQL/PostGIS, or SQL Server).
