Position: GIS and Drone Specialist We are seeking a GIS and Drone Specialist to join our Land Acquisition team in Huamachuco, La Libertad, Peru. As the GIS and Drone Specialist, you will be responsible for planning, executing, processing, and controlling topographic and cartographic surveys using drones and GNSS equipment, generating maps, digital terrain models, volume calculations, descriptive memoranda, and technical reports to support land diagnosis, acquisition, legal regularization, and re-staking—ensuring data accuracy and reliability. Key Responsibilities Study, analyze, and evaluate property and/or possession documents from a technical perspective for lands included in the company’s acquisition plan. Prepare technical-legal diagnostic maps for target properties. Prepare boundary maps and descriptive memoranda, signed by a registered cadastral verifier, for submission to Public Registries. Conduct topographic surveys, prepare boundary maps, and perform staking-out operations. Conduct censuses of lands to be acquired and those already owned by the company; review, reconstruct, and digitize archived titles and graphic documents. Inventory land assets: terrain, infrastructure, housing, and commercial, productive, and economic activities. Manage the placement and monumentation of Order-C Geodetic Control Points. Actively participate in the legal-physical regularization of properties until formal registration is achieved, from a technical standpoint. Requirements Licensed and registered professional in Geographic Engineering, Civil Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Topographic Engineering, or related fields. Specialization in Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), high-precision cartography, GNSS technology, and photogrammetric processing. Minimum 3 years of experience in topographic surveys, physical-legal land regularization, cadastral database development, or related roles within the functional career path. Knowledge of current legislation on rural land titling and regularization. Proficiency in topographic surveys using GPS, GNSS, and total stations. Experience managing cadastral databases and interpreting cadastral maps and plans. Ability to prepare boundary, location, diagnostic, and descriptive memorandum maps. Software skills: CAD/GIS (AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, QGIS, ArcGIS Pro). Photogrammetric and LiDAR processing: Metashape, Pix4Dmapper, RealityCapture, LiDAR 360, CloudCompare, LP360. GNSS processing and flight planning: RTKLIB, Emlid Studio, TBC, UgCS, Motion, DJI Terra. Technical report writing and intermediate-level Microsoft Office proficiency. Valid Class AI driver’s license (preferred). Certified RPAS (drone) pilot. Registered as a Cadastral Verifier. Intermediate English proficiency (preferred). Benefits Entry into the company’s payroll.
