GIS Architect

Role Overview? We are seeking a visionary and technically adept GIS Architect to lead the development of future ready GIS technology roadmaps for our clients in the Power, Utility &Renewable sector. Leveraging the TOGAF framework, you will strategically plan and guide the integration of advanced spatial datasets, including LiDAR, photogrammetry, andvector data into clients’ existing GIS platforms (GE-Smallworld, AutoCAD Map3D, Oracle Spatial, ESRI), helping modernize and optimize their business processes.? ? Key Responsibilities:? Strategic GIS Roadmap Development? Assess clients’ current GIS capabilities and identify opportunities for modernization and future growth.? Align GIS strategy with client business objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.? Design and articulate future, looking GIS technology roadmaps for clients using TOGAF , focusing on the seamless integration of LiDAR, photogrammetry, and otheradvanced spatial data.? Advanced Data Integration? Develop strategies for incorporating LiDAR, photogrammetry, and vector datasets into clients’ GIS workflows for asset digitization, network modelling, and ease ofintegration with downstream systems.? Evaluate and recommend tools, platforms, and methods for processing and leveraging these datasets within client environments.? Ensure focus on data quality, consistency, and interoperability across client platforms.? Platform Modernization? Guide the evolution of client GIS platforms (GE-Smallworld, AutoCAD Map3D, Oracle Spatial, ESRI) to support new data types and business needs of tomorrow i.e.,Digital Twin , AMI 2.0 ,Grid Modernization .? Recommend enhancements, integrations, and upgrades to enable future GIS capabilities.? Business Process Transformation (Collaboration with BA & Clients)? Work with business analyst to identify automation opportunities and process inefficiencies in Asset Design, As-built, Pre-post process that needs to address in thetarget state GIS tech roadmap? Collaborate with client business units to re-engineer and automate processes (Asset Design, As-built, Pre-post processes) paving the path for future GIS.? Stakeholder Engagement? Communicate the vision and benefits of a future, ready GIS to client technical teams, business stakeholders, and leadership.? Provide guidance, training, and support to client teams for successful implementation.? ? Required Skills & Qualifications:? GIS Roadmap & Architecture: Experience designing technology roadmaps and architectures using TOGAF, especially for GIS modernization in client environments.? Advanced Spatial Data Expertise: Deep understanding of LiDAR, photogrammetry, vector data, and their application in utility operations.? Platform Knowledge: Familiarity with GE-Smallworld, AutoCAD Map3D, Oracle Spatial, ESRI.? Communication & Collaboration: Strong skills in client stakeholder engagement and technical communication.
