Role Description This is a full-time, on-site GIS CAD Analyst role based in Chennai. The GIS CAD Analyst will manage and analyze spatial data, develop GIS datasets, and produce maps and technical drawings to support environmental, water, and wastewater projects.
Responsibilities include working with GIS applications and CAD tools, performing spatial and attribute data analysis, and maintaining accurate geospatial databases. The role involves collaborating with project teams to integrate GIS outputs into reports, models, and planning documents and supporting survey and investigation activities with geospatial data. The analyst will also help ensure data quality, adhere to project standards, and contribute to process improvements in geospatial workflows.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and GIS Applications, with experience using common GIS software platforms.
Strong GIS Analysis and Analytical Skills to interpret spatial data, perform geospatial modeling, and support decision-making.
Solid Data Management skills, including organizing, validating, and maintaining spatial and non-spatial datasets.
Experience with CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD) for drafting and integrating GIS and CAD data in engineering and environmental projects.
Bachelor’s degree in geography, geomatics, civil/environmental engineering, urban planning, or a related discipline.
Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical information clearly in reports and presentations.
Attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and capacity to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Familiarity with water, wastewater, or environmental consulting projects is an advantage.
