Company Local Authority (Other Sector) Position Title GIS Coordinator (84/2026) Job Scope Full-time (100% = 40 hours/week) Salary Grade Grade 37–39 according to the Civil Service Salary Scale for Engineers, Technicians, and Technical Staff, or the Engineers’ Salary Scale Job Description Oversee the implementation, operation, and maintenance of the GIS system within the Engineering Department Ensure the system remains up to date Key Responsibilities Input and update data into the local authority’s GIS system Extract and process GIS data to support decision-making and operational needs Promote GIS usage within the local authority, including encouraging staff and local committee members to adopt the system Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor Application Deadline September 27, 2026, 23:59 Requirements Education & Professional Qualifications (Minimum Criteria) Education: Academic degree (Bachelor’s or higher) from an institution recognized by the Council for Higher Education, or a foreign degree recognized by the Ministry of Education’s Credential Evaluation Unit, in one or more of the following fields: Engineering, Architecture, or Geography; OR Certified Engineer (Hendes) or Technician (Teknai) license issued under Section 39 of the Certified Engineers and Technicians Law, 5773-2012, in the relevant fields. Professional Requirements: Fluent Hebrew (written and spoken) Proficiency in ArcView (version 10 or higher) and Microsoft Office Familiarity with ArcGIS Online (AGOL) Professional Experience: Academic degree holders: Minimum 1 year of GIS system experience Certified Engineers: Minimum 2 years of GIS system experience Certified Technicians: Minimum 3 years of GIS system experience Personal Competencies: Strong service orientation and interpersonal skills High level of orderliness and organizational ability Willingness to interact with multiple stakeholders and departments Note: This position is open to both men and women.
