Job Description The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in GIS data conversion, cleansing, validation, and quality assurance, with a proven track record in converting utilities and infrastructure as-built drawings and data into structured, accurate, and topologically valid Enterprise GIS datasets.
The role will involve working closely with GIS teams, technical stakeholders, and clients to ensure the quality, accuracy, connectivity, and integrity of enterprise GIS data and support utilities and infrastructure data transformation initiatives.
Qualifications
GIS Data Conversion &
Transformation
Convert utilities and infrastructure as-built drawings and data into structured GIS datasets.
Perform data extraction, transformation, cleansing, and preparation for Enterprise GIS environments.
Ensure converted datasets comply with defined GIS data models, standards, and specifications.
GIS Data Quality Assurance &
Validation
Conduct comprehensive GIS data validation and QA/QC activities.
Identify and resolve spatial, attribute, topology, and connectivity issues.
Ensure GIS datasets meet defined accuracy, completeness, consistency, and quality requirements.
Validate network connectivity and applicable spatial and topological rules.
Utilities &
Infrastructure GIS
Work with utilities, infrastructure, and land-related GIS datasets.
Understand spatial relationships, network structures, and topological behaviors across utility and infrastructure assets.
Apply appropriate validation and connectivity rules to ensure data integrity.
Support the development and maintenance of reliable Enterprise GIS datasets.
Enterprise GIS &
Geodatabase Management
Work extensively with the Esri ArcGIS ecosystem, particularly ArcGIS Pro and Enterprise Geodatabases.
Support the development and implementation of enterprise geodatabase structures.
Work with feature classes, relationships, domains, subtypes, topology, and network-related data structures.
Ensure GIS data is properly structured and maintained according to enterprise requirements.
GIS Data Automation &
Process Improvement
Develop and automate GIS data transformation and ETL workflows using Python, ArcGIS ModelBuilder, and/or FME.
Identify opportunities to improve GIS data conversion, validation, and QA/QC processes.
Support the optimization and standardization of GIS data management workflows.

Skills

Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geomatics, Geography, Surveying, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Additional qualifications in GIS or spatial data management are preferred.
Professional Experience
7+ years of hands-on experience specifically in utilities and infrastructure as-built conversion to GIS.
Strong experience in GIS data extraction, conversion, cleansing, validation, and QA/QC.
Strong experience working with utilities, infrastructure, and land GIS datasets.
Experience with spatial relationships, topological behaviors, network connectivity, and GIS validation rules.
Experience working with Enterprise GIS environments.
Experience in consulting or client-facing environments is preferred.
Candidates must be native Arabic speakers.
Ability to join as soon as possible due to the urgency of the requirement.
Technical Skills
Strong hands-on knowledge of the Esri ArcGIS ecosystem.
Strong proficiency in ArcGIS Pro.
Strong experience with Enterprise Geodatabases.
Knowledge of GIS data conversion, cleansing, validation, and QA/QC.
Knowledge of GIS topology and network connectivity.
Experience with Python, ArcGIS ModelBuilder, and/or FME for GIS data transformation and ETL automation is preferred.
Knowledge of enterprise geodatabase design, including:

Network-related data structures
Understanding of satellite imagery types, characteristics, applications, and major satellite imagery/data vendors is preferred.
Certifications
Esri-related GIS certifications.
