GIS Data Specialist

Finavia is seeking a GIS Data Specialist to join its Data & AI team and support the management of geospatial information for Finland's airports. The role is responsible for the management, quality, accessibility, and usability of geospatial data relating to the built airport environment throughout its lifecycle. The specialist will work at the intersection of business and technology and develop their assigned data domain. Key responsibilities include: - Ensuring the quality, availability, governance, and lifecycle management of geospatial information. - Acting as service manager for GIS and CAD solutions. - Managing suppliers, geospatial data-delivery chains, interfaces, and integrations. - Developing spatial data management, databases, systems, and operational processes. - Supporting automation of geospatial workflows and processes. - Contributing to data and solution architecture development. - Supporting projects and business teams as a geospatial subject-matter expert. - Performing spatial data processing and analysis to support decision-making when required. - Participating in development projects and international cooperation. Candidates should have a relevant higher-education degree and at least 2–3 years of GIS experience. Required experience includes geospatial data lifecycle management, data processing, integrations, and data-architecture principles. Practical knowledge of QGIS, PostgreSQL, GeoServer, FME, and pgAdmin is expected. Fluency in Finnish and English is required. The position is hybrid, with employees expected to work onsite for at least half of their working time. The selected candidate will undergo a basic security clearance and drug testing.
