Position Overview
ACCIONA, within its Urban Services business line, is seeking an intern to support the GIS Department in the implementation and management of a technological control platform for urban services at its Almería headquarters.
Mission
Support the GIS Department in the implementation and management of the technological control platform for urban services.
Key Responsibilities
Support the department in deploying and managing the technological platform.
Participate in drafting and overseeing contracts with entities involved in the platform: assist in feasibility studies, improvement proposals, compliance monitoring, etc.
Support procurement, spare parts management, and repair of all technological equipment.
Participate in fleet vehicle control and maintenance, collaborating with the workshop supervisor to optimize and configure: vehicle maintenance schedules, fuel consumption, inspection dates, emissions, etc.
Assist in managing and organizing work teams related to the technological platform, in coordination with team leads.
Support the management and updating of data within the technological platform, in collaboration with technical staff from various contracts (containers, zones, routes, vehicles, etc.).
Collaborate in the analysis, design, and execution of improvement proposals to benefit contract performance.
Candidate Requirements
Expected start date: January 2027.
Internship duration: 6 months, part-time or full-time (full-time preferred: 35 hours/week).
Possibility of signing a university internship agreement.
Currently enrolled in the final year of a bachelor’s degree or master’s program in Environmental Sciences, Geography, or Computer Engineering.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Working knowledge of GIS software (QGIS, ArcGIS, etc.).
Knowledge of Python is highly valued.
Ability to commute independently to the workplace.
Paid internship.
