GIS Experts Request (Ref 10052786) – GIZ African Union, Africa InCORE (Integrated Corridors for Economic Growth in Africa – Support to PIDA) programme, Addis Ababa office. Scope of services: Full data audit and correction of an existing shapefile repository (1,000+ files) covering the AU's 38 recognised transport and infrastructure corridors (geometry fixes, attribute standardisation, CRS integrity) Reconcile and harmonise the "Transport Corridors Simplified" master file against raw source shapefiles; maintain a Data Processing Log Source and integrate gap data: mining/extractive sites, maritime and dry ports, logistics hubs, standardised corridor buffer zones, with full source documentation Build a clean, structured GIS geodatabase with a draft Data Dictionary (naming conventions, attribute schemas, metadata) Produce a continental baseline map and 15 poster-quality corridor maps (300 DPI) Deliver a replicable methodology workflow Design and deliver two 5-day hands-on QGIS capacity-building trainings for up to 12 partners/staff This is a consultancy/services tender; register on the GIZ AU e-tendering portal to access tender documents and submit.
