Job Description
The public domain is vital to our quality of life and contains valuable information about its current condition. By accurately measuring data, processing geo-information, and linking it to management data, maintenance and management of the public domain become transparent and data-driven.
The demand for effective use of available information has never been greater! During the traineeship, you’ll actively engage in measuring, processing, and advising on this data.
Key Responsibilities:
Structuring, analyzing, evaluating, and clearly visualizing data using apps, charts, or maps
Collecting field data at project locations alongside experienced surveyors
Setting up GIS files to support data acquisition
Integrating data to create usable products
Creating maps, charts, and dashboards
Preparing technical drawings using ArcGIS, QGIS, and AutoCAD
Analyzing GIS data and integrating findings into specifications and (maintenance) advisory reports

Salary: €2,800 to €3,200 gross per month

Requirements
Completed HBO degree in fields such as: Land & Water Management, Garden & Landscape Architecture, Green & Cultural Technology / Forest & Nature Management, Management of the Living Environment, Applied GIS Sciences / Applied Geo-Science, Geo Media & Design, Water Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent
Experience with and interest in GIS systems such as ArcGIS and QGIS
Interest in programming tools like Python and R
Intrinsic motivation to work with data
Prior experience, knowledge, or interest in AutoCAD is a definite plus
Preferably residing in Utrecht or Gelderland
Dutch language proficiency is mandatory — unfortunately, this opportunity is not open to candidates who do not speak Dutch
