GIS Lead Data Engineer

GIS Lead Data Engineer - Databricks/ Azure - Hybrid 3 days pw in office - 12 Month Contract - Mining $900 - $1000pd inclusive of super Perth (Non Negotiable) I am exclusively partnered with a leading consultancy who are looking for a GIS Data Engineer to start immediately on an initial 12 month contract with high possibility of extension. You will design, build and implement scalable data environments that support advanced analytics and geospatial (GIS) capabilities Looking for someone to start immediately, interviews will be one stage and begin next week with the end client What You Will Be Doing: Design, build and maintain scalable cloud-based data platforms across Azure, AWS or GCP Develop and optimise data platform architectures to support large-scale, complex and geospatial datasets Implement data ingestion, processing and storage solutions for structured, unstructured and GIS data Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical platform solutions Ensure platform security, performance, reliability and data governance standards are met Support and guide team members, contributing to delivery planning and technical direction Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and promote modern engineering practices What You Bring: Strong experience designing and implementing cloud-based data platforms on Azure or AWS Experience working with geospatial information systems (GIS) data and associated tooling Proficiency in data platform technologies such as Databricks, Spark, Azure Data Factory, or similar Experience with data modelling, integration, and data pipeline development Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code and DevOps practices (e.g. Terraform, CI/CD pipelines) Strong problem-solving and analytical capability Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders Experience managing and leading a team of offshore & onshore resources GIS Lead Data Engineer - Databricks/ Azure - Hybrid 3 days pw in office - 12 Month Contract - Mining $900 - $1000pd inclusive of super Perth (Non Negotiable)
